What is neurological care?

Neurological care refers to treatment of the nervous system. The central nervous system includes the brain and spinal cord, and the peripheral nervous system entails all parts of the nervous system outside the brain and spinal cord.

What conditions does neurological care address?

At Redicare Mobile Health Service, the experienced team offers neurological care for the following conditions:

Migraine headaches

Migraine headaches, one of the most common neurological disorders, cause severe head pain, frequently on one side of the head.

Additionally, migraine headaches often occur alongside symptoms like nausea, vomiting, light and sound sensitivity, and sometimes visual or other neurological disturbances called auras.

Tension headaches

Tension headaches, or stress headaches, are the most common headaches. They cause head pain that may feel like a band relentlessly squeezing your head. Tension headaches often cause sore neck and shoulder muscles as well.

Nerve pain

Nerve pain occurs when damage or disease affects the nerves that transmit sensation. This type of pain can vary by person with common manifestations being stabbing, burning, or prickling pain. Nerve pain often occurs in the extremities (hands and feet) but can also affect other areas.

If you have migraines, tension headaches, or nerve pain, Redicare Mobile Health Service can provide prompt medical care to relieve your symptoms and prevent a recurrence.

However, neurological emergencies require immediate care, so dial 911 in those situations.

How do neurological care appointments work?

At Redicare Mobile Health Service, you can choose telehealth or home visits, in which a medical provider comes directly to your home or another location.

Telehealth visit

You receive a text message or email prompting you to complete the patient registration process before your telehealth visit. Then, you’ll receive a secure link on the day of your appointment 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time. You’ll see your provider for neurological care virtually.

Home visit

You must complete the patient registration forms before your scheduled home visit. Then, on the day of your visit, your provider will arrive at your chosen location within a two-hour window for neurological care.

If you’re experiencing headaches or neuropathic pain, call Redicare Mobile Health Service or book an appointment online today.
